Three young women are at a thingytail party. The conversation turns to their position in life and it's clear that they are trying to one-up each other.
The first one says, "My husband is taking me to the French Riviera for two weeks on vacation," and then looks at the others with a superior demeanor.
The second one says, "Well, my husband just bought me a new Mercedes," and looks about with considerable pride.
Number three says, "Well, to be perfectly honest with you, we don't have much money and we don't have any material possessions. However, one thing I can tell you about my husband is that thirteen canaries can stand shoulder to shoulder on his erect thingy."
After this, the first one looks shamefaced and says, "Girls, I've got a confession to make. I was just trying to impress you. You know that vacation I was telling you about? Well, it's not to the French Riviera, it's to my parents house for two weeks."
The second one says, "Your honesty has shamed me. It's not a Mercedes, he bought me a Plymouth."
"Well," the third one says, "I also have a confession to make, canary number thirteen has to stand on one leg!"

Three women are out shopping at an antique shop. They stumble upon an unusual lamp. A voice heard from a genie within the lamp begs to be set free in return for granting each of them a wish.
Now one of the women just doesn't believe it, and says: "Ok, if you can really grant wishes, than double my I.Q." The genie says: "Done." Suddenly, the woman starts reciting Shakespeare flawlessly and analysing it with extreme insight.
The second woman is so amazed she says to the genie : "Triple my I.Q." The genie says: "Done." The woman starts to spout out all the mathematical solutions to problems that have been stumping all the scientists of varying fields: physics, chemistry, etc.
The last woman is so enthralled with the changes in her friends, that she says to the genie: "Quintiple my I.Q." The genie looks at her and says: "You know, I normally don't try to change people's minds when they make a wish, but I really wish you'd reconsider." The woman says: "Nope, I want you to increase my I.Q. times five, and if you don't do it, I won't set you free." "Please," says the genie "You don't know what you're asking...it'll change your entire view on the universe...won't you ask for something else...a million dollars, anything?" But no matter what the genie said, the woman insisted on having her I.Q. increased by five times it's usual power. So the genie sighed and said: "Done."
It was my first day as newcomer to Miss Hargrove¡¯s seventh grade. Past ¡°newcomer¡± experiences had been difficult, so I was very anxious to fit in. After being introduced to the class, I bravely put on a smile and took my seat, expecting to be shunned.
Lunchtime was a pleasant surprise when the girls all crowded around my table. Their chatter was friendly, so I began to relax.wow power leveling My new classmates filled me in on the school, the teachers and the other kids. It wasn¡¯t long before the class nerd was pointed out to me: Mary Lou English. Actually she called herself Mary Louise. A prim, prissy young girl with a stern visage and old-fashioned clothes, she wasn¡¯t ugly -- not even funny looking. I thought she was quite pretty,wow gold but I had sense enough not to say so. Dark-eyed and olive-skinned, she had long, silky black hair, but -- she had pipe curls! Practical shoes, long wool skirt and a starched, frilly blouse completed the image of a complete dork. The girls¡¯ whispers and giggles got louder and louder. Mary Lou made eye contact with no one as she strode past our table, chin held high with iron determination. She ate alone.
After school, the girls invited me to join them in front of the school.wow power leveling I was thrilled to be a member of the club, however tentative. We waited. For what, I didn¡¯t yet know. Oh, how I wish I had gone home, but I had a lesson to learn.
Arms wrapped around her backpack, Mary Lou came down the school steps. The taunting began - rude, biting comments and jeering from the girls. I paused, then joined right in. My momentum began to pick up as I approached her. Nasty, mean remarks fell unabated from my lips. No one could tell I¡¯d never done this before. The other girls stepped back and became my cheerleaders. Emboldened, I yanked the strap of her backpack and then pushed her. The strap broke, Mary Lou fell and I backed off. Everyone was laughing and patting me. I fit in. I was a leader.
I was not proud. Something inside me hurt.wow power leveling If you¡¯ve ever picked a wing off a butterfly, you know how I felt.
Mary Lou got up, gathered her books and -- without a tear shed or retort given -- off she went. She held her head high as a small trickle of blood ran down from her bruised knee. I watched her limp away down the street.
I turned to leave with my laughing friends and noticed a man standing beside his car. His olive skin, dark hair and handsome features told me this was her father.wow gold Respectful of Mary Lou¡¯s proud spirit, he remained still and watched the lonely girl walk toward him. Only his eyes -- shining with both grief and pride -- followed. As I passed, he looked at me in silence with burning tears that spoke to my shame and scalded my heart. He didn¡¯t speak a word.

Hiya guys....just surfing the net and thought I would drop you guys a line. So I never see any of you guys in game anymore.... not that I play much myself these days. I just installed the game now and man theres not much happening on there is there. I cant even get into the DMH server ...it says I dont have the resources...dont know why...I have no mods or anything like that Be real nice to play with you guys some time soon...miss those good old days! Cant wait to wack you with my shottie Anyways have a good christmas and a great new year!!

Don't really know how long it's been since this clan started, but anyway, when this clan started it was something I enjoyed being a part of. What made it better was that I was a leader. Not that I'm selfish or self centered, but a leader at around 13 or 14 years old? It was something I felt pretty proud of.
But now it's maybe 5 years later, I'm turining 19 in July, working on getting into a University. I came a long way from a middle school kid. And since then obviously the clan is not what it used to be. I thought maybe there would be a Second Coming of sorts, but obviously that never did happen. Certain people left that I felt were vital to this clan, and I tried to maybe convince or bring them back in my own ways. But that too did not happen either.
So now with all that said I am stating that I am officially leaving the Dark Empire clan and also requesting for the disbanning of the Dark Empire clan officially, even though it may seem like it is already and therefore no need to actually say it. If there are still some members out there who want to continue, I would request that they continue under a different name/banner. It's not that I don't want it to continue, I just feel since this clan started with certain people, it should end with certain people rather than being a shell of what it used to be. It will be sad to not see these forums, even though no one posts, and not see the tags on my name anymore. But what needs to be done should be done in my opinion.
This is not me giving the clan a "mercy killing". I only felt that as the last founding member in this clan, it would be proper that this clan should end when I end my membership. By no means do I have the actual power to do so as those who decide to stay in this clan could in fact continue to carry on the name regardless of my request. But that is what I ask. I ask that the clan cease its activity officially because of what I believe.
Since I am a comic book fan, whenever a character dies they never really do. This to me is true for the clan. No matter what happens in its status, active or inactive, it is not dead.
By the way, the title of this post is from a song, of the same name, by Poets of the Fall. Don't really know how it fits with the stuff in this post but, kind of thought it sounded ok.
Liquid, Dready, anyone else who is still in this clan that I can not remember, the decision is yours as to what to do now. Continue under a different name, use the same name, or go your separate ways or any other action you come to. By no means am I trying to make you guys angry or anything similar. This is something I always thought should happen if the clan were to ever be in the state it is in now. But like I said, you guys have the decision. I will not be angry with your decision nor hold any kind of grudge against any of you guys for it. Some of the things I said here may seem contradictory or not make sense, but its midnight here and I'm kind of tired.
As a final statement, I believed and perceived this clan was something unique. Every time I played Aliens vs. Predator 2 with the [DE] tag, it was comforting and gave a feeling that I believe will never be duplicated in any clan. I felt the clan was special because I felt that we were truly in it to be amongst friends and not to be a dominant power in the community. No requirements, no applications, no nothing. All that we wanted was to be friends, and enjoy playing against each other. And in my opinion, that's what made us different than any other clan out there.

Hello my brothers and sisters, I haven't been in Dark Empire for a while, as I had personal problems and was inactive for about a year. I play with Li Shenron and Sith sometimes, and it was the three of us that founded DE. You all are so special to me, and I hope you know that I will always be here to play and chat ...im on msn every weekend. I have really missed having a group of people to play with and ts it with, and so am considering...read as considering!... joining another clan. I hope you will all forgive me and understand that I'm just extending my network of close and dear friends. I have been clanless since DE, and my heart will always be with DE and DMH. I really have never known that gaming could bring such good and dear people into my life. Please, please IM me if you have any concerns about this, as you all have been so good to me.
